Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Director of Portfolio Management to maximize the readiness of its project portfolio by allocating resources, de-risking projects, and leading process improvements from development to financial approval.

The role includes supporting AI use cases, measuring impact, and driving KPI-driven portfolio visibility to executives across multiple business units in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, accounting, finance, or social sciences, or similar field preferred.
• PMI/PE a plus but not required.
• Minimum 6 years experience in business, including quantitative assessments, such as project engineering, estimating, and project management.
• Minimum 6 years experience with detailed quantitative management of complex business function and cross-functional process improvement.
• Minimum 1 year experience leading cross-disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing a project portfolio preferred.
• Proficiency in managing project schedule scenarios across a portfolio of projects.
• Engineering or technical background with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Directing Execution & Project Management support across the portfolio.
• Maintain a view of projects and de-risking support across stages, including Estimating, Pre-Construction, procurement, and early execution mobilization.
• Implement process improvements to improve readiness assessment and avoid redundant work.
• Standardize feedback and enable automation for efficient updates.
• Quantify project value early with I&V and Commercial teams.
• Collaborate with EPC Procurement to align top EPC partners with high-value projects.
