Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Director of Portfolio Management to maximize the readiness of our project portfolio by allocating execution resources, de-risking projects and leading process improvements from development to financial approval.

This role also supports AI use cases across execution, measures impact, and collaborates with EPC Procurement, I V and Commercial teams to drive value. Strong cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, accounting, finance, or social sciences.
• PM certification (PMP) or PE a plus but not required.
• Minimum 6 years experience including quantitative management of complex business function and cross-functional process improvement.
• Minimum 1 year experience directly leading cross-disciplinary teams.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a renewables developer or project manager preferred but not required.
• Experience managing a project portfolio.
• Proficiency in managing project schedule scenarios across a portfolio of projects.
• Engineering or technical background with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Directing Execution & Project Management support across the portfolio.
• Maintain a view of projects across the portfolio, stages, and the de-risking support required.
• Implement process and methodology improvement to project readiness assessment.
• Implement ability to standardize feedback across the organization with automation.
• Help to design and implement methodology to quantify project value early with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain list of project value drivers including NPV optimizations and cost-benefit analyses.
• Collaborate with EPC Procurement to align top-tier EPC partners with high-quality projects.
• Implement KPIs to measure portfolio performance and transparency.
• Track projects in the Execution & PM funnel and align resources as pipelines mature.
• Support AI enablement across Execution & PM and develop AI roadmaps.
