Job summary

Redpath Partners seeks an analytical analyst to support commercial asset management across office and industrial portfolios. The role involves cross-portfolio reporting, financial modeling, and market analysis to drive value and income generation.

You will contribute to quarterly client reports, assist with budgeting and capital planning, and work with leasing teams on strategies and projections. A strong Excel/Argus skillset and excellent writing are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in real estate investment, development, finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions and asset management.
• Proficiency in financial modeling; Excel modeling will be tested.
• Experience with Argus required; Yardi experience preferred.

Job description

Redpath Partners are working with a privately held institutional real estate investment manager with a longstanding history of investing on behalf of large institutional clients, including pension funds and other fiduciary investors. With circa $10bn AUM, the firm operates a vertically integrated platform encompassing investment management, Design & Construction, asset management, and property operations across a diversified real estate portfolio. It is recognized for its focus on long-term value creation, income generation, and active management of real estate assets across major markets.

Role

Under the direction of the Commercial Managing Director, Portfolio Managers and Asset Managers handling commercial assets, this position will have exposure to all aspects of commercial assets; both office and industrial.

This is a collaborative analyst position working across multiple portfolios and assets and requires keen analysis, attention to detail, excellent communication, and proactivity.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform analysis and assist with all reporting including multiple client quarterly reports, year-end review, tactical plans, annual business plans and various hold/sell analysis.
• Various levels of analysis including cash on cash yields on FMV as well as Invested capital, NOI yields, cumulative invested capital etc.
• Financial analysis in leasing, construction or operations at the property or portfolio level
• Quarterly tracking and reporting on local market conditions relevant to the assets within the portfolio.
• Monthly reporting for leasing activity throughout assigned portfolio.
• Track capital project progress including budget comparison, schedules expenditure summary, and required client presentation materials.
• Create presentation material and agendas for client-specific monthly and quarterly portfolio meetings.
• Work closely with the portfolio managers and asset managers on the asset management plans (including operating budgets, leasing and marketing plans, capital budgets) and quarterly reports
• Perform market analysis and assist in developing leasing strategies for properties in connection with portfolio managers and asset managers. Work with leasing teams to monitor active prospects, lease expirations, renewal opportunities and market competition.

Candidate

• 1 - 3 years of real estate investment/development, investment banking, or finance experience.
• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate transactions and asset management.
• Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build detailed financial models from scratch. Excel test will be required in the screening process.
• Must have experience with Argus.
• Working knowledge of Yardi (preferred)
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Effective business writing and communication skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required; finance or real estate preferred.
