Job summary

HDR is seeking a Microsoft Portfolio Owner to drive the health, performance, and strategic direction of HDR's Microsoft technology portfolio. You will partner with product managers, tech teams, and business stakeholders to align priorities and optimize value realization.

In this role, you will establish governance processes, develop multi-year roadmaps, monitor KPIs, and report progress to leadership. A strong background in portfolio management and Microsoft platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years IT experience, including management of multiple concurrent projects.
• At least 5 years experience in managing and developing staff with direct reports.
• Ability to translate business strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent client service and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft-focused technology portfolios.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, governance, and performance management of the Microsoft technology portfolio.
• Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps, priorities, investments, and multi-year plans.
• Facilitate portfolio reviews and provide recommendations on performance, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs, health metrics, financials, and value realization.
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to align priorities and delivery plans.
• Balance demand, capacity, funding, and resources to optimize delivery.
• Lead portfolio intake, prioritization, and decision-making processes.
• Promote consistent portfolio and product management practices across the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on portfolio strategy and investments.
• Manage relationships with internal/external service providers and ensure governance alignment.
• Communicate transparently through dashboards and executive updates.
• Foster collaboration across business, engineering, product, and support teams.
