Job summary

HDR is seeking a Microsoft Portfolio Owner responsible for the overall health, performance, and strategic direction of HDR's Microsoft technology portfolio in Charlotte, NC. You will govern budgeting, roadmaps, and multi-year plans while aligning with business outcomes and corporate strategy.

Lead cross-functional teams, balance funding and resources, and report on KPIs and value realization. This role emphasizes collaboration across product, engineering, and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years IT experience with multiple projects; at least 5 years in staff management.
• Experience collaborating with business users to set priorities and manage expectations.
• Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work under tight delivery schedules.
• Engineering and/or Construction background a plus.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, governance, and performance management of the Microsoft technology portfolio.
• Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps, priorities, investments, and multi-year plans.
• Facilitate portfolio reviews; provide recommendations on performance, risks, and outcomes.
• Establish, monitor, and report KPIs, health metrics, financials, and value realization.
• Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, tech teams, and stakeholders to align priorities.
• Balance portfolio demand, capacity, funding, and resource considerations.
• Lead portfolio intake, prioritization, and decision-making processes.
• Promote consistent portfolio and product practices across the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Serve as trusted advisor to business leaders on portfolio strategy and investments.
• Manage relationships with internal and external service providers.
