Job summary

Hamilton Lane is seeking an Analyst to join the Portfolio Management Group in the US. You will contribute to end-to-end portfolio design, implementation and governance, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory standards.

You will support investment execution workflows, monitor mandates across systems, prepare materials for audits, and enhance reporting with Excel and Power BI. A collaborative, detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting will excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 3.3+ GPA preferred in quantitative fields.
• Familiarity with private markets and strong interest in portfolio management.
• Solid understanding of IRR/MOIC, NAV, commitment vs deployed, exposure.
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI or similar analytics tools a plus.
• High attention to detail; able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to summarize complex info.
• Willingness to work 50+ hours/week in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end investment execution workflows across asset classes by coordinating across functions and escalating issues as needed
• Monitor portfolio mandates, guidelines and restrictions in internal systems and ensure accuracy across tools and processes
• Assist in preparing materials for audits, regulatory reviews, and oversight requests with data and documentation
• Support PMG technology products by managing internal requests, validating data quality, and supporting maintenance
• Help maintain standard operating procedures, checklists, and controls for portfolio implementation and oversight
• Build and maintain reporting and analytics in Excel and Power BI revealing portfolio activity and metrics
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and test new workflows
