We are seeking a Portfolio Engagement Director to own a portfolio of client accounts across Houston and the broader Texas market. This full-time hybrid role is accountable for retention, expansion, and overall account health across an existing book of business, while also supporting select net-new pursuits that this leader will ultimately help run. The ideal candidate brings a management consulting or advisory background and can operate credibly with engineering, data, and AI leaders deploying frontier AI into real workflows. This person will own named accounts, build relationship maps across buyers, champions, blockers, and end users, run quarterly business reviews, and translate engagement performance into business outcomes tied to client priorities. They will identify and close expansion opportunities across Talent on Demand, Embedded Teams, and Co-Managed Resources, stay close to active delivery, and serve as the escalation point when engagements drift off track. On new opportunities, they will partner with the pursuit team on discovery, scoping, proposals, statements of work, and pricing strategy, especially for work involving AI Deployment Engineers, AI Deployment Specialists, agentic systems, custom AI connectors, and modern data infrastructure. The strongest candidates will have 6 to 10 years of experience in management consulting, Big 4 advisory, or a comparable client-facing professional services environment, with direct exposure to AI deployment, data platforms, analytics, or LLM-enabled delivery. They should have a track record of account expansion, executive stakeholder management, and translating ambiguous client needs into scoped, deliverable engagements. Experience serving professional services firms, private equity portfolio companies, or middle-market commercial clients is highly relevant. This role is hybrid in Houston, TX, with approximately 25% travel to client sites and strategic accounts across Texas and priority markets.
