Frederick Fox LLC in Dallas–Fort Worth is seeking a Managing Consultant to own end-to-end AI and data engagements, lead small project teams, and shape technical directions for clients. The role blends hands-on development with strategic oversight to drive measurable business outcomes.

You will mentor consultants, ensure responsible AI governance, and help expand client relationships while maintaining high-quality delivery.

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, hybrid · Type: Full-time, direct hire · Experience: 6 years

The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing boutique consultancy that helps mid-market and enterprise organizations put data and AI to work. They’re hiring a Managing Consultant to own delivery and client relationships across a portfolio of AI-driven engagements. This is a player-coach seat: you’ll lead small project teams, shape the technical approach, and stay close enough to the code to roll up your sleeves when it counts.

The firm is applying AI not only in what it builds for clients, but in how it builds – its own development practice is AI-assisted, putting this team ahead of most of the market.

What you’ll do

• Own engagements end to end, from scoping and statements of work through delivery and wrap-up
• Set solution architecture and technical direction for key client initiatives
• Lead AI-focused programs, including integrating multiple AI capabilities into a single business solution
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders from the project team up to the executive level
• Stay hands-on in design and development where the project calls for it
• Put guardrails in place for responsible AI use, governance, and delivery standards
• Spot opportunities to expand work with existing clients and help write proposals
• Mentor and grow the consultants and developers on your teams
• Keep projects on budget, on schedule, and at a high quality bar
• Help shape the firm’s service offerings as the practice scales

What you bring

• 6 years in technology consulting or a similar delivery role
• A technical foundation – you’ve been a developer and are comfortable working in React, Node.js, JavaScript, .NET, and SQL
• A track record leading development teams (teams of 5–7 are a great fit) and managing client engagements
• Hands–on experience launching AI solutions, plus a broad view of the current AI tools and platforms
• Ability to connect AI capabilities to measurable business outcomes and guide clients through adoption
• Solid project management, business development, and SOW/proposal experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across technical and business audiences
• Enterprise experience is a strong plus
