Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Senior Director, Portfolio & Content for ed2go to lead the portfolio management and content development organizations. You will shape a catalog of 1,000+ programs, drive growth, and ensure alignment with market opportunities and learner needs.

You will collaborate with the GM and leadership to set priorities, invest wisely, and propel profitable growth while leveraging AI-enabled innovations and scalable operations across the education technology portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience leading a large, complex portfolio or product organization with meaningful revenue accountability.
• Strong business and financial competence using data to make investment decisions.
• Proven ability to develop and execute portfolio strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage.
• Experience leading multi-layer organizations and developing leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Portfolio Management team and the content development team responsible for ed2go’s online course catalog of 1,000+ programs.
• Build insights into portfolio performance, market dynamics, and customer needs to guide decisions.
• Identify opportunities for new programs, category expansion, and portfolio optimization.
• Establish investment frameworks for disciplined decisions on build, buy, partner, expand, or exit.
• Guide portfolio lifecycle management balancing growth investments with catalog maintenance.
• Use data to evaluate portfolio performance and inform investments.
• Collaborate with Finance and leadership to ensure revenue growth and margin expansion.
