Job summary

Culver's is seeking a Porter/Maintenance Technician to start early shifts and help keep our restaurant and equipment in top condition. You’ll open the restaurant, perform routine maintenance, and ensure clean, safe, and efficient operations to support a great guest experience.

You will work with a friendly team, receive on-the-job training, and have opportunities for growth within Culver's. A strong work ethic and dependability are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Genuine smile and good communication.
• Dependable and able to work independently or with a team.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks.
• 1-3 years' experience with equipment maintenance preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at restaurant at 6am (5am on truck delivery days).
• Provide superior maintenance to interior and exterior of restaurant timely and accurately.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly jobs timely and accurately.
• Maintain the appearance of the building exterior and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Put food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer and dry storage area using FIFO while monitoring shelf life and code dates, and temperatures of key food items upon delivery.
• Maintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant.
• Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly.
• Reports possible areas of incomplete closing to opening leader.
• Duties completed by 10:30 to be ready to work in the kitchen during the lunch shift.

They keep our kitchens stocked with safe, fresh ingredients that meet our high quality standards. Basically, porters keep our entire operation running smoothly for guests and team, so we can deliver a dining experience unlike any other.

Overview:

• Arrive at restaurant at 6am (5am on truck delivery days)
• Provide superior maintenance to interior and exterior of restaurant timely and accurately
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly jobs timely and accurately
• Maintain the appearance of the building exterior and grounds effectively, including landscaping and snow removal
• Put food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer and dry storage area using the First In-First Out method while monitoring shelf life and code dates, and monitoring temperatures of key food items upon delivery.
• Maintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant
• Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly
• Reports possible areas of incomplete closing to opening leader.
• Duties completed by 10:30 to be ready to work in the kitchen during the lunch shift.
