Job summary

Preferred Care at Wall is seeking a Porter to join its Housekeeping team in Wall Township, New Jersey. The role focuses on keeping patient areas clean, safe, and well-maintained while supporting a compassionate care environment for residents.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate basic laundry equipment, and collaborate with other staff. Full-time and part-time options are available, with benefits including health and dental insurance, PTO, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• All Housekeepers must be experienced at cleaning with a keen eye for details.
• Must be Reliable and Keep to a Schedule.
• May Need to Work a Varied Schedule, as requested.
• Healthcare or Commercial Laundry: 1 year (Preferred).
• Healthcare or Commercial Housekeeping: 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas of the facility and Resident rooms.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
• Removal of trash & soiled linens. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Housekeeper must be able to learn how to operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Must be able to work as a team member with other Housekeepers assigned to the facility.
• Solid work ethic with initiative for quality and customer service.
• Remain positive and caring, and act in the best interest of our patients.
• Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.

Porter Duties and Responsibilities:

The Housekeeping is responsible for the following:
