Preferred Care Health Centers is seeking a Porter to join our Housekeeping Department. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas, while upholding safety standards and patient care quality.

The candidate should have experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning, be reliable, and able to work a varied schedule. Training in operating laundry equipment is a plus and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced in cleaning with attention to detail.
• Reliable and able to keep a schedule.
• May need to work varied shifts as requested.
• Healthcare or commercial laundry: 1 year preferred.
• Healthcare or commercial housekeeping: 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas of the facility and resident rooms.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety throughout designated areas.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
• Remove trash and soiled linens; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Learn to operate commercial laundry equipment.
• Work as part of a team with other housekeepers.
• Demonstrate a solid work ethic with focus on quality and customer service.
• Remain positive and caring, keeping patients' best interests in mind.
• Report any observed area in need of repair to supervisor.

Porter Duties and Responsibilities:

The Housekeeping is responsible for the following:

• Cleaning common areas of the facility and Resident rooms
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times
• Removal of trash & soiled linens. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds
• Housekeeper must be able to learn how to operate commercial laundry equipment
• Must be able to work as a team member with other Housekeepers assigned to the facility
• Solid work ethic with initiative for quality and customer service
• Remain positive and caring, and act in the best interest of our patients
• Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor

Housekeeping Qualifications and Experience:

All Housekeepers must be experienced at cleaning with a keen eye for details

Must be Reliable and Keep to a Schedule

May Need to Work a Varied Schedule, as requested

Healthcare or Commercial Laundry: 1 year (Preferred)

Healthcare or Commercial Housekeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
