Job summary

Momentum at South Bay for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Per diem Housekeeper to join our team on site in East Islip, NY.

The role involves daily housekeeping duties, schedule flexibility including weekends and holidays, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents.

Experience in housekeeping is preferred; training and team support are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Willing to work a schedule of rotating weekends, holidays and some weekdays.
• Managing time effectively and having good organizational skills.
• Past Housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to day activities of the housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards.
• Must follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in rest rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
