Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) to care for our community grounds and interiors while delivering excellent resident service.

This role focuses on keeping exteriors clean, maintaining amenities, and supporting make-ready tasks. Previous groundskeeper or porter experience is desirable, and strong teamwork with residents and teammates is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and work areas daily.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, exteriors, dumpsters, parking lots, and buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds and vacant apartments before make-ready.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pools, tot lots, lights, breezeways, grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing and exterior painting.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of community grounds.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00/hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing, light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs etc.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.
