Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) for the East Valley area around Tempe, AZ.

You will help maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of our beautiful apartment communities while delivering exceptional customer service to residents and teammates. The position requires at least one year of related experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as Facilities Technician, Groundskeeper, Porter, or similar title.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and interiors.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, exteriors, and common areas.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds and vacant units before make-ready.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pools, playgrounds, lighting and amenity areas.
• Perform janitorial tasks including power washing and light exterior painting.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00/hour.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Facilities Technician, Groundskeeper, Porter, or similar title, is required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing, light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs etc.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.
