Job summary

Mark-Taylor is seeking a Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) for the Nexa community in Tempe, AZ. You will maintain grounds, assist residents, and support the maintenance of building exteriors and common areas.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable work ethic, and the ability to interact positively with residents. Housing discounts and full benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Positive and courteous interaction with residents and team members.
• Experience as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related role is desirable.
• Basic written and spoken English required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and work areas throughout the day.
• Uphold grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas and parking lots.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds and vacant apartments before make-ready.
• Perform opening/closing duties including property walks and landscaping checks.
• Daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and upkeep of pools, tot lots, fixtures and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks such as power washing and light exterior painting of speed bumps and curbs.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00/hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
