Mark-Taylor, Inc. in Tempe, AZ, is hiring a Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) to maintain the beauty and curb appeal of its apartment communities. You will deliver friendly, resident-focused service while keeping grounds and interiors clean and inviting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Prior groundskeeping/porter experience preferred.
• Basic written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds and work areas daily.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds and vacant apartments before make-ready.
• Complete opening/closing duties, including property walks and landscaping checks.
• Daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and upkeep of pools, tot lots, lighting, breezeways, amenities and BBQ grills.
• Power wash and light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs, etc.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of common areas.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00/hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing, light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs etc.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.
