Job summary

Atria Senior Living - Kew Gardens is hiring for a team member to perform cleaning, maintenance, and grounds tasks within the community. You will ensure safe, neat, and attractive common areas and residences, with responsibilities spanning carpet care, trash removal, and routine upkeep.

The role requires completing all provided training, following safety instructions, and adapting to varied shifts. A positive attitude and reliability are essential for this on-site position supporting residents

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Able to read and follow safety instructions and perform basic math with units of currency and measurement.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Able to safely use basic maintenance and landscape related hand tools and light power tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services for offices, apartments, and community areas in a safe, neat, and attractive condition.
• Provide floor care for carpet, tile, and wood floors including vacuuming, extracting, buffing, sealing, and stripping.
• Compact and remove trash and debris from community areas.
• Maintain grounds including sidewalks, walkways and building exteriors.
• Perform basic maintenance related work requests.
• Mow lawns, trim shrubs, and cultivate flowers (varies by community).
• Notify management of repairs needed.
• Report unsafe conditions promptly to Supervisor.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work performed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
