Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for full-time PORTER positions.
• Location: SUMMIT 1 Vanderbilt - 1 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time. Days and hours may vary. Must be able to work mornings, nights, and weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous experience preferred but not required.
• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure tables are bussed, cleared, and cleaned; floors swept during peak times and prepped for service.
2. Follow safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
3. Wash dishes, glasses, pots; clean cooking stations and equipment to maintain sanitation standards.
4. Scrape, rinse, and wash dishes by hand or in dishwashing machines, ensuring cleanliness.
5. Keep display equipment clean and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
6. Assist with receiving heavy deliveries and transporting to storage while observing safe lifting standards.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
8. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
9. Commit to personal and others' safety.
10. Abide by all company policies, including the use of safety equipment when handling knives, hot pans, and slippery shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
