Base pay range

A full-service multifamily real estate firm, ROSS Companies, is seeking an experienced Porter for a property in Washington, DC. Your role is vital in maintaining the interior and exterior appearance of the community and supporting apartment turnover.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain the interior and exterior physical appearance of the property as instructed.
2. Keep a neat physical appearance, including a clean, orderly uniform where applicable.
3. Maintain a professional attitude with residents, limiting communication during working hours to community-related matters.
4. Report hazards or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
5. Inform the supervisor of residents or guests responsible for damages.
6. Accept additional tasks as assigned.
7. Promote fair housing standards and equal opportunity.
8. Complete service requests promptly and accurately.
9. Keep assigned areas clean, including grounds, trash rooms, laundry rooms, storage, and offices.
10. Assist with inspections of apartments and public areas when needed.
11. Support during emergency situations like snow removal or natural disasters.
12. Attend relevant training and staff meetings.

Qualifications

1. Previous Porter experience preferred.
2. High School Diploma preferred.
3. Ability to lift, stand, walk, twist, crawl, stoop, climb, push, pull, and bend with weights over 40 pounds.
4. Experience with powered and non-powered equipment.
