The Porter independently cleans restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, kitchenettes/pantries, showers, stairwells, corridors, elevators, and other work areas. Duties include sweeping, mopping floors, removing trash and recyclables, dusting furniture and fixtures, polishing metal fixtures, and replenishing restroom supplies. Service is provided to the East and West Wings on a 24/7 basis. Schedules are general guidelines and may shift based on events and tours. This is an Essential Personnel position, and duties as described in the contract are expected.
- Clean offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, break rooms, library, closets, kitchenettes, stairways, locker rooms, storage rooms, and other areas.
- Inform supervisor of problems, concerns, and safety issues.
- Place wet floor signs and umbrella bags as needed.
- Sweep floors and mop as required.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, and furniture.
- Dust furniture and equipment.
- Polish brass fixtures.
- Dust woodwork.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas and recyclables to designated areas.
- Replenish restroom supplies.
- Spot clean carpets.
- Respond to phone calls from designated government contacts.
- Manage carts for restrooms, trash, and recycling.
- Respond to emergency calls within the assigned building and possibly other buildings related to the contract.
- Produce quality work and maintain appropriate conduct and demeanor per Didlake policy.
- Follow safety standards and guidelines in equipment use and other activities.
- Complete and maintain all required Didlake training.

Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or 6 months of custodial experience.
