Job summary

Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel in Tama, IA is seeking a Full-Time housekeeper to clean casino floors, offices, restrooms, hotel areas, and public spaces. You will ensure guest satisfaction and asset protection through consistent cleaning and attentive service.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, dusting, and occasional hotel room assistance; you will also follow MSDS guidelines and company safety procedures while collaborating with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings, offices, public areas or other assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.

• Routine cleaning of main casino floor, offices, restrooms, etc.
• Sweeps and mops hallways and stairs.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Dust and cleans the inside of building.
• Assists with cleaning of hotel restrooms and lobby; may assist housekeeping with rooms.
• May assist with laundry.
• Communicates effectively with staff and departments to maintain operations.
• Follow safety procedures and policies; safeguard assets.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings, offices, public areas or other assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.

• Cleans assigned areas and ensures that areas are free of clutter.
• Routine cleaning of main casino floor, smoke eaters, tables, ashtrays, office areas, restrooms, etc.
• Sweeps and mops hallways and stairs.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Dust and cleans the inside of building.
• Assists with cleaning of hotel restrooms and hotel lobby.
• Occasionally may be asked to assist hotel housekeeping with rooms to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Occasionally may be asked to assist with laundry.
• Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
• Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
• Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
• Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
• Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
• Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.

Supplemental Job Duties

• Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
• Notifies supervisor of need for repairs.
• Ensures any chemicals used are properly labeled in accordance to MSDS information and company procedures.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Lifting, pushing and pulling weight up to 45 pounds will be required. Significant bending, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling with long periods of standing and walking are required. This position will be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors and varying weather conditions. May require the use of protective safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Must be confidential.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be flexible with work shifts and days off. Must be self – motivated, enthusiastic, and work as part of a team. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for team member tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Team members and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
