Job summary

Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel in Tama, IA is seeking a Full-Time Non-Safety Sensitive Slot Area Monitor. You will oversee transaction accuracy in the slot floor, respond to service indicators, and support guest needs in a fast-paced casino setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned slot area to ensure guest satisfaction and transaction accuracy.
• Handle cash and gaming device transactions with care and according to policy.
• Respond to guest service needs and address machine service indicators or malfunctions.
• Maintain tidiness and safety in the assigned area and follow all procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and co-workers to ensure smooth operations and asset protection.

Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring assigned slot area ensuring positive guest experience and maintaining transaction accuracy within established regulatory guidelines.

• Maintains confidentiality on all internal departmental matters, correspondence and proprietary data.
• Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
• Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
• Maintain positive attitude and professional conduct towards guests and co-workers at all times and coordinate guest service needs with Supervisors and co-workers.
• Monitor and perform activities in the assigned area, including the following:
  • Respond to all guest service needs; Interact in a positive cordial manner.
  • Process all gaming device transactions with accuracy per established policy/procedure.
  • Respond to any and all machine service indicators.
  • Repair any minor machine malfunction.
  • Insure tidiness of assigned areas.
• Access gaming device historical data, device option review and perform actions resulting in guest dispute resolution and/or proper machine function.
• Accurately process proper forms in accordance with Title 31 requirements, company policy and Internal Control procedures.
• Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
• Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
• Work effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection and respect in all guest/employee interaction.
• Report to work on time and as required in professional attire; display a high level of personal hygiene and adhere to personal appearance standards.

Supplemental Job Duties

• This position has signatory authority for jackpot transactions, tax reporting forms, machine access keys and other required verifications.
• Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Will be exposed to loud and continual noise levels in an environment where smoking is allowed. Requires frequent standing and walking along with frequent use/motion of hands, wrists, arms and fingers. Moderate bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching is necessary.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences:High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a basic math test. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities:Must possess good money handling skills and basic math skills. Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and must be able to work as part of a team. Must be willing to be trained in the basic knowledge of slot machine functions including jackpot levels, payout procedures, pay table information, and basic machine repair techniques. Must remain flexible with shifts and days off assignments. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.
