Administers and coordinates all security activity for an assigned shift.
This position will have the authority to; make decisions necessary for carrying out the above listed job duties, make recommendations to; hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, provide training opportunities, approve wage increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling and invoke disciplinary action within approved guidelines. This position may have other supervisory authority assigned as necessary through management. This position has direct supervision over the Officer, Lead EMT, EMT, Key Master and the Assistant Shift Supervisor. This position has signatory authority for jackpot payout slips, fill/credit slips, controlled keys log, and incident and accident reports.
May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Performs physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and reaching . Long periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be confidential.
Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Requires high school diploma or GED. Must have one (1) year of security or related experience. Requires six (6) months of supervisory experience. Must be knowledgeable in gaming policies and procedures and have a good understanding of casino operations. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission. Applicant must not have a criminal history that includes a serious misdemeanor or above for such crimes as theft or any crimes which constitute moral depravity or moral corruption. A history of multiple simple misdemeanor crimes which show the pattern of a habitual violator will also be grounds for denial of employment.
At interview applicant must be able to pass a basic math test of 11 word problems missing no more than 4 problems. If the first test is failed, a second will be given with no more than 4 of 10 answers to be missed.
Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work directly with the general public. Requires the ability to see details at close range and from a distance. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Requires comprehensive reading and writing skills . Must possess poise and tact. Must be self-motivated, responsible and must possess leadership qualities and effectively instruct and guide all subordinates. Must be dependable, courteous and reliable. Must be flexible with work shifts and days off. Must have good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.
