Position: Porter

The Porter assists in property maintenance, including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic tasks. Under supervision, the Porter supports the make-ready process and maintenance operations to meet property goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Community Maintenance: cleaning, trash removal, grounds and building upkeep, responding to work requests, inspecting for hazards, and supporting preventative maintenance.
2. Customer & Resident Relations: providing excellent service, managing requests, enforcing community policies, and maintaining a positive community image.
3. Safety & Compliance: maintaining safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and understanding key policies.
4. Physical & Other Requirements: moving about the property, operating tools and machinery, working in various environments, and being available for overtime and emergency on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with on-site software
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, ascend/descend ladders, operate machinery, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move objects over 100 lbs., work in confined spaces, and remain stationary for periods.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights for emergencies.

At Asset Living, compensation is based on skills, experience, and certifications, complemented by benefits including health insurance, 401K, bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays.

Salary Range: $15 - $16 per hour
