Job summary

Ugly-Dumpling-4 is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality across the restaurant. You will support kitchen, dining, and bar teams by keeping areas clean, safe, and stocked, enabling smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include sanitizing spaces, restocking supplies, assisting with dishwashing during peak hours, and upholding health and sanitation rules to ensure a positive guest and staff experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in porter, janitorial, or cleaning role preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the restaurant, including kitchen, dining room, bar, restrooms, and exterior spaces.
• Regularly sweep, mop, and empty trash bins to maintain a tidy environment.
• Wash, dry, and restock smallwares, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Perform deep-cleaning tasks such as scrubbing floors, cleaning vents, and organizing storage areas.
• Monitor and restock supplies, including napkins, cleaning products, paper goods, and other necessities.
• Assist in unloading and organizing deliveries, ensuring items are properly labeled and stored.
• Notify management of any shortages or equipment that requires repair.
• Assist with dishwashing and equipment cleaning during peak hours.
• Maintain a clean and organized dish area to facilitate efficient operations.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Promptly address spills, hazards, or broken equipment to minimize risks.

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the restaurant to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties & Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Functions

• Previous experience in a porter, janitorial, or cleaning role preferred, but not required.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and products.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

• Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist others as needed.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.

• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
