Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is recruiting a Porter for our Bethlehem, PA facility. You will keep offices and warehouse areas clean and compliant, ensuring a safe environment for staff and products. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.

The role involves daily janitorial duties, floor care, and occasional pallet-jack-assisted cleaning. This is a full-time, first-shift position with weekly payroll and benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment as a custodian/janitor
• Clean the warehouse, offices, break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintain housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Assist with product pickup and cleaning using pallet jack and scrubber
• Tend to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for disposal
• Follow all material handling equipment safety procedures
• Occasionally lift varying case weights; follow safety protocols
• Follow all MHE safe operating procedures

Porters work as a part of a team to reserve a clean and tidy environment throughout our facilities. These critical roles help to support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high quality product to our customers. As a Porter, you will clean and maintain the administrative offices, warehouse and other assigned areas in order to satisfy company and governmental guidelines. You will clean and sanitize designated areas of a warehouse as well as tend to product spill clean-up. All of our employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

Job Description

• Earn $17.00 per hour
• Shift - 1st shift
• Weekly pay
• Location - Bethlehem, Pa

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
