Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a dedicated full-time custodian/janitor for our Aberdeen, MD facility. You will contribute by maintaining a clean and safe work environment across the warehouse and office spaces.

This position offers a day shift with weekly pay, benefits from day 1, and opportunities for career progression. You will perform cleaning tasks, handle spills, and adhere to safety and quality standards throughout the operation.

Qualifications

• Attendance, GED and HS diploma required or equivalent.
• Ability to perform janitorial duties to high standards.
• Commitment to safety, quality and reliability in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment as custodian/janitor.
• Clean warehouse, office spaces, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff and wax floors for good housekeeping.
• Occasionally pull product from slots with pallet jack to clean with scrubber.
• Tend to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collect wrap, shredded paper and empty boxes for disposal.

• Earn $17 per hour + $2/hr freezer differential
• Full Time: Day Shift, 5 days a week
• Aberdeen, MD 21001

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
