Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a custodial/janitorial teammate for the North East, MD location. This role focuses on keeping warehouses and offices clean and safe, with duties spanning cleaning of floors, offices, restrooms and break areas.

The position requires basic education and reliable attendance. Starting at $18 per hour, the role offers paid training, weekly pay and benefits from day one, plus opportunities for tuition reimbursement and health coverage as part of a comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian/janitor.
• Clean the entire warehouse including office space, break areas, windows and restrooms.
• Maintain housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors.
• Occasionally pull product from pick slots using an electric pallet jack and scrubber.
• Tend to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for disposal.

Job Description

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cuttingtools
