Job summary

SDK is seeking a porter for its East Orange location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the property is clean and safe, providing excellent customer service to residents, and performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a multifamily environment and possess strong cleaning knowledge, attention to detail, and communication skills. About the Position

As our porter, you will…

• Model behavior that is aligned with SDK values when interacting with anyone associated with SDK.
• Ensure the property (indoor and outdoor) is in pristine and safe condition while meeting all SDK standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service to the residents.
• Clean assigned areas as needed throughout the day including common areas, amenity spaces if applicable, and glassed areas.
• Proactively take measures to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property.
• Ensure pathways are clean and accessible.
• Take lead on garbage disposal throughout the property.
• May handle basic maintenance throughout the property proactively and as assigned; reports issues as needed.
• Routinely inspect property grounds to identify potential issues; addresses as needed.
• Perform all work following SDK policies, procedures, safety and health regulations and applicable laws.
• Performs other related duties proactively and as assigned.

About Your Professional Background & Skills

• A minimum of 1 year of porter experience in a multifamily environment.

• Comfortable with office technology such as MSOffice.

The gross hourly pay range for this position is between $16.00 - 17.00. The actual compensation will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
