TOTE Services in Jacksonville seeks an Assistant Port Engineer to support maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of Marlin-class vessels. You will work closely with the Port Engineer, gaining hands-on exposure to technical operations, vessel support, and warehouse management.

The role requires a solid engineering foundation, strong organizational and communication skills, and an interest in growing into a senior technical role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Marine Engineering, Naval/Marine Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance practices, port engineering functions, and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with marine industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and maintenance record platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Port Engineer with planning, coordinating, and overseeing vessel maintenance and repair.
• Ensure work complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and procedures.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs for machinery and systems.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities, shipyards, and vendors.
• Manage maintenance budgets and procurement inputs.
• Track parts, orders, and warehouse processes; support vessel needs.
• Attend vessels during port calls in Jacksonville and ride ships for familiarity.
