Job summary

APTIM seeks a site Construction Manager to support design-build projects at the Alabama Port Authority in Mobile, Alabama. This field role provides construction oversight for maintenance and capital projects supporting terminal operations at the McDuffie Coal Terminal.

Experience with railcar and barge unloading and large-volume material handling is preferred. You will lead scope development, schedules, cost estimates, and safety programs, coordinating with client representatives, engineers, and

Qualifications

On-site construction experience in large-volume material handling and port/terminal operations.
Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of field construction experience.
Thorough knowledge of construction processes and industry practices.
Proven leadership and management capability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to obtain TWIC and AL Port Authority badge.

Responsibilities

Support scope development, schedules, and cost estimation for projects.
Develop project execution plans and risk/contingency assessment.
Prepare and document Daily Production Reports and project status.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, contractors, and client representatives.
Oversee field workmanship, progress, cost control, and quality of work.
Monitor safety programs and resolve non-conformances.
