Job summary

APM Terminals located in Miami, FL, seeks an Assistant Manager, Asset Execution to oversee daily maintenance activities for mobile equipment and supporting systems. You will champion safety, supervise technicians and contractors, and coordinate resources to sustain safe, reliable terminal operations.

The role requires a technical or associate degree with at least 2 years in maintenance planning/scheduling within heavy industrial or port settings, plus CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in heavy industrial, port, mining, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or similar environments.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is desirable.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance activities for mobile equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable terminal operations.
• Promote safety culture through observations, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Supervise technicians and contractors and coordinate maintenance resources.
• Ensure preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with planners to maximize schedule compliance and backlog management.
• Document and close work orders in CMMS; support inspections and deficiency resolution.
