Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Security Officer TWIC Patrol Driver to monitor port facilities, conduct patrols, and provide outstanding customer service. This full-time role at a government port location involves non-armed patrols, incident response, and strict adherence to site policies.

The position requires a TSA-issued TWIC, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and port-related personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, gates, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and check credentials, visitor authorizations, and restricted-area entry requirements in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions through required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
