JAXPORT in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Public Safety Compliance Officer I to lead security planning, risk assessments, and coordination with federal and state agencies for safe port operations.

The role requires experience in security management, regulatory compliance, and hands-on supervision of security personnel, with rotating shifts and potential recalls. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Associate’s Degree in Homeland Security or closely related field required.
• Five years of progressively responsible facility, port/seaport, maritime industry or homeland security experience required.
• Must possess formal training/experience in conducting risk/vulnerability assessments in an all-hazards spectrum.
• Must be qualified and experienced as defined in 33 CFR Part 105.205.
• Must have an FSO Certificate or the ability to obtain the certification within six months of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, plan, organize, coordinate and implement all elements of security plans.
• Ensure security, safety and emergency preparedness measures protect personnel and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with terminal management, Security Specialists, and tenants on the Facility Security Plan.
• Represent security interests with U.S. agencies to ensure cargo movement.
• Conduct risk assessments and document findings using all-hazards methodologies.
• Administer contract security personnel and perform inspections.
• Notify law enforcement promptly for incidents.
• Brief facility personnel on security changes.
• Rotating shift work and mission essential recall when needed.
