Job summary

Jacintoport International is seeking a Safety Specialist to assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing safety and environmental policies in compliance with state and federal regulations. You will review work environments, design programs to control hazards, and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.

The role requires analyzing data, performing audits, and coordinating safety trainings. A strong English communication skillset, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of safety experience at industrial sites (e.g., terminal environments).
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field with OSHA regulations knowledge is acceptable in lieu of experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Effective English communication (read, write, speak) in a business environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Clean, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development, implementation and enforcement of safety and environmental policies in line with regulations.
  • Review and analyze work environments; design programs to prevent disease or injury from chemical, physical, and ergonomic hazards.
  • Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Conduct safety accident investigations and implement preventative actions.
  • Maintain departmental logs, employee files and records to show compliance with laws and programs.
