Job summary

Centerline Logistics seeks an experienced Marine Operations Manager to supervise, hire, train, and evaluate marine personnel, conduct tug inspections, and develop cost-control programs for vessels. You will interface with customers on new projects and assist in vessel scheduling.

Responsibilities include supervising captains and deck crews, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, and leading spill and safety programs. Must have USCG Master 200T and STCW, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years at sea as Master on tugboats, tankers or oil barges or equivalent military experience.
  • USCG Master’s license on offshore towboats 200T Minimum/Master of Towing Endorsement.
  • STCW Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR training.
  • Typing: 40 wpm; Computer Skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Captains, Mates, and Deck Crews.
  • Ensure vessels and crews comply with State and Federal regulations.
  • Ensure crews comply with company policies.
  • Conduct Management Vessel Inspections on repair and maintenance standards.
  • Ensure vessels are SIRE ready and assist in scheduling SIRE’s.
  • Perform incident investigations and safety audits.
  • Develop and administer operating and cost control procedures.
  • Interface with customers on an ongoing basis.
