Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support Population Health Quality Performance Improvement. The role is in-person at the Shared Services Building in West Boise, working to close gaps in care via proactive patient outreach and coordination across 180 affiliated clinics.

You will analyze preventative screenings, support care planning, and collaborate with primary care teams to meet HEDIS and STAR goals, contributing to better patient outcomes and care

Qualifications

• 3 years of MA clinical experience required; 5 years preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification required at hire.
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience required.
• Experience with process improvement or Lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primarily contacting patients over the phone focused on closing gaps in care.
• Assist with scheduling health screenings and follow-up testing.
• Analyze preventative health care screenings and gaps in care lists.
• Provide education and collaboration to support Quality Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to improving provider and patient experience and health outcomes.
