Job summary

The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinics across the health system with patient outreach. This role is in-person at the Shared Services Building in Boise and involves contacting patients about screenings and care, collaborating with primary care providers and central triage nurses on next steps.

Ideal candidates have MA certification within 90 days, a high school diploma, and proficiency with EPIC and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• New Graduates: MA certificate of completion or 100-hour externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours.

Responsibilities

• Call patients to discuss screenings and needed care.
• Collaborate with primary care provider, clinic care team, and central triage nursing team on next steps.
• May assist with in-basket support for SAMG Primary Care and orders; may work at clinics for direct patient care when needed.
