Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc. is seeking an entry-level Epic Population Health IT Associate Analyst to support, test, and maintain Epic Population Health applications, including Healthy Planet, Inpatient Case Management, and EpicCare Link.

The role requires strong clinical experience in case management or related Epic exposure; will work remotely with cross-functional teams to enhance patient outcomes and clinician efficiency within Sentara's Population Health strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Epic HP (Healthy Planet) OR IP Clin Doc OR Epic Case Management certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of healthcare, clinical informatics, application support, or IT analyst experience with a degree.
• Experience in clinical case management, care coordination, or population health programs.
• Knowledge of inpatient nursing workflows and healthcare operations.
• Familiarity with Epic Healthy Planet, population health management tools, or healthcare tech applications.
• Experience supporting software testing, workflow analysis, system upgrades, or application optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills; remote work ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, optimization, testing, and maintenance of Epic Population Health applications (Healthy Planet, Inpatient Case Management, EpicCare Link).
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to analyze workflows and support system enhancements.
• Evaluate software releases and resolve application-related issues in Population Health.

Overview :

The Epic Population Health IT Associate Analyst is responsible for the day‑to‑day support, optimization, testing, and maintenance of Epic Population Health applications, including Inpatient Case Management, Healthy Planet and EpicCare Link in support of organizational Population Health strategy . This entry‑level role partners with clinical, operational, and technical teams to analyze workflows, support system enhancements, evaluate software releases, and resolve application‑related issues. The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical experience with case management, inpatient nursing, and population health (OR), OR a baseline Epic Inpatient ClinDoc, Inpatient or Healthy Planet exposure and desire to deepen knowledge within the application or learn additional applications in support of improving patient outcomes, quality of care and clinician efficiency

This is a remote position that works closely with cross‑functional teams to support application integration, system upgrades, testing, and ongoing operational support for Sentara's Population Health growth and strategy.

Education

We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full‑time employment is $89,294.40 - $131,851.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
