Job summary

Highmark Health in Idaho is offering the Summer 2027 Population Health Analytics Graduate Internship, a program designed for graduate students to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of healthcare, data analytics, and population health strategy.

As part of the Population Health Strategy Analytics team, interns will work with large-scale healthcare datasets, including claims data and EMR information, to generate actionable insights and support value-based care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide professional services as appropriate to day-to-day operating objectives, receiving guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
• As requested by management, conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
