Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Population Health Analytics Graduate Internship to graduate students eager to apply data analytics to improve population health, affordability, and member experience. Interns will work with large healthcare datasets, EMR data, and claims data to generate actionable insights under the Health Living Health strategy.

The role involves hands-on analytics, trend analysis, performance measurement, predictive insights, and collaboration with analytics

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Pursuing a graduate degree (full- or part-time) in an accredited college or university is required.
Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Epidemiology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day problems.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day-to-day objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
Undertake and participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals when requested by management.
Engage in related studies or enrichment programs aligned with unit objectives.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
