Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Population Health Analytics Graduate Internship to graduate students eager to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of healthcare, data analytics, and population health strategy.

Interns will work with large-scale healthcare datasets and collaborate with analytics professionals, clinicians, and leaders to generate insights that support population health initiatives and value-based care strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Epidemiology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments.
• Under supervision, provide professional services aligned to day-to-day objectives.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
• As requested by management, conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
