Job summary

Appellation Healdsburg is hiring a Pool Attendant / Server to deliver luxury poolside service and maintain a pristine outdoor area. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure a relaxing, attentive experience by the pool.

This role requires a friendly, guest-focused attitude, comfort working outdoors in various weather, and ability to balance speed with safety. Nights/weekends may be required; prior pool or high-volume dining is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in poolside, resort, or high-volume outdoor dining.
• Warm, engaging personality with exceptional guest service.
• Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with cleanliness and safety focus.
• Comfortable outdoors in various weather.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service; willing to learn.
• Physical stamina to lift trays and stand for long periods.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Familiarity with POS systems; basic computer skills.
• Lifeguard or pool safety certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at pool, assist seating and towels.
• Provide poolside food and beverage service; take orders and deliver.
• Know menu; suggest items and answer questions.
• Monitor guest needs for comfort and enjoyment.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and cabana areas.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of pool area daily.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards and respond to hazards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for timely delivery.
• Assist with guest incidents and escalate when needed.
• Promote hotel services and events to guests.
• Support pool supervisor with towels and usage logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
