Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group is hiring for a hospitality role in California. The position involves assisting guests with food and beverage selections, entering orders into the POS system, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

This role requires attention to detail, good guest relations, and basic food and beverage knowledge. Applicants should have at least one year of food service experience, preferably in a hotel or resort, and possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card.

Qualifications

  • RBS certification as scheduled upon employment.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, and answering questions.
  • Enter orders to POS system and record guests' choices, dietary needs, and special requests.
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
  • Process guest payment transactions accurately and close out table.
  • Balance all payment methods with accuracy to sales report.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and keep area stocked.

What You Will Accomplish
  • Assists guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, and answering food preparation questions
  • Enters orders to POS system and records guests' choices, special dietary needs, and special requests
  • Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Processes guest payment transactions accurately and closes out table
  • Balances all payment methods with accuracy to sales report
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the work areas
  • Keeps area stocked
What You Will Bring
  • One year food service experience, preferably in a hotel/resort environment.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, hotel service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Great If you have California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification as scheduled upon employment.
  • Valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
