Job summary

Four Seasons Residence Club, Carlsbad, California, is seeking Pool Servers to manage seating areas, take and serve food and beverages, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu options and beverage lists. You will ensure timely delivery and a memorable guest experience for owners and guests.

• San Diego County Food Handlers card and Responsible Beverage Service certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close procedures for the pool deck.
• Set up and move pool deck equipment as needed.
• Stock/restock towels, beverages, fruits and amenities for guests.
• Assist owners and guests with seating and service of food and beverages.
• Describe menu items with vivid origin, taste and preparation details and relay orders to the kitchen via POS.
• Respond to emergencies or safety situations as needed.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Residence Club management.

About The Role

Pool Servers are responsible for arranging seating areas, taking/serving food and beverage orders, and being knowledgeable about all current menu options and beverage lists, and efficiently clearing and restocking items to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for our owners and guests.

What You Will Do

• Conduct all opening and closing procedures.
• Wipe down, set up and move all pool deck equipment, when necessary.
• Pick up, stock/restock, and drop off towels, juices, fruits, and other items or amenities needed in the area to provide guests with a level of service in keeping with Four Seasons standards.
• Assist owners and guests with seating, towels, amenities and food and beverage service.
• Describe the selection of menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Respond properly in any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management and staff.

What You Bring

• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Previous food and beverage experience, preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• San Diego County Food Handlers card (not required upon hire) and Responsible Beverage Service certification
• Driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role, a valid California Driver's License is necessary

• Base Rate $20.00 per hour until 3/30/2026
• Base Rate $17.60 starting 04/01/2026 through 09/28/2026
