Job summary

Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara in Carlsbad, CA seeks a part-time Pool Server to provide premier service at the pool deck. You will take and deliver food and beverage orders, assist guests with seating, and maintain pool area standards with knowledge of current menu options and beverage lists.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, restocking items, and coordinating with the kitchen for timely service.

Qualifications

• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Previous food and beverage experience, preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• San Diego County Food Handlers card and Responsible Beverage Service certification.
• Driving a company vehicle is an essential function; valid CA driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Wipe down, set up and move pool deck equipment when needed.
• Stock/restock towels, juices, fruits and amenities to service area.
• Assist owners and guests with seating, towels, amenities and food/beverage service.
• Describe menu items with engaging origin, taste and preparation details; relay orders to kitchen via POS; coordinate timing and verify orders.
• Respond appropriately to any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management.

About the role

At Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, Pool Servers are responsible for arranging seating areas, taking/serving food and beverage orders, and being knowledgeable about all current menu options and beverage lists, and efficiently clearing and restocking items to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for our owners and guests.

What you will do:

• Conduct all opening and closing procedures.
• Wipe down, set up and move all pool deck equipment, when necessary.
• Pick up, stock/restock, and drop off towels, juices, fruits, and other items or amenities needed in the area to provide guests with a level of service in keeping with Four Seasons standards.
• Assist owners and guests with seating, towels, amenities and food and beverage service.
• Describe the selection of menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Respond properly in any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management and staff.

What you bring:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• San Diego County Food Handlers card (not required upon hire) and Responsible Beverage Service certification
• Driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role, a valid California Driver's License is necessary

What we offer:

• Base Rate $20.00 per hour until 3/30/2026
• Base Rate $17.60 starting 04/01/2026 through 09/28/2026
• Base Rate $20.00 January, February, October, November and December
