Job summary

The YMCA of Florida’s First Coast is hiring a part-time lifeguard for the Fleming Island pool. You will maintain constant surveillance, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies in line with YMCA policies.

The role includes record-keeping and equipment checks, with opportunities to maintain a Free YMCA branch membership. Qualifications include a minimum age of 16 (18+ preferred) and current CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16; 18+ preferred.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, O2, and First Aid certifications required.
• Current YMCA Lifeguarding Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area.
• Perform and review safety procedures and emergency responses.
• Keep accurate records as required by YMCA and health codes.
• Test pool chemicals and ensure equipment availability.
• Ensure health and safety of members and guests.
