Job summary

The Frank J. Thornton Family YMCA in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Pool Manager to ensure member safety and smooth operation of our pool facilities. The role offers a pay range of $17-$19 per hour with essential lifeguard responsibilities and activity coordination.

Qualified candidates have lifeguard experience, current AR/ YMCA certifications, CPR/First Aid, AED, and Oxygen Administration or the ability to obtain O2 within 30 days. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of lifeguarding experience and meet Lifeguard Standards.
• Must hold current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification including CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid.
• If not YMCA certified, must obtain Oxygen Administration (O2) within 30 days of hire.
• Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and able to work some weekends.

The Frank J. Thornton Family YMCA is seeking a Pool Manager to ensure the safety of our members at our pools. This pay range for this part time position is $17-$19 per hour.

DUTIES of a Pool Manager

Assist with the planning, coordinating, developing, administering, and evaluation of aquatic activities as they relate to aquatic centers to include, but not limited to, any pre-season opening responsibilities and any post-season closing responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS of a Pool Manager

Must have at least one year of lifeguarding experience and meet all YMCA of Greater Richmond Lifeguard Standards. Must hold current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification; to include CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration (O2) if YMCA certified. If not YMCA certified, the employee must obtain O2 within 30 days of the hiring date. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. The candidate will be required to work some weekends.
