Job summary

The Frank J. Thornton Family YMCA in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Pool Manager to ensure member safety and smooth operation of our pool facilities. The role offers a pay range of $17-$19 per hour with essential lifeguard responsibilities and activity coordination.

Qualified candidates have lifeguard experience, current AR/ YMCA certifications, CPR/First Aid, AED, and Oxygen Administration or the ability to obtain O2 within 30 days. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of lifeguarding experience and meet Lifeguard Standards.
• Must hold current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification including CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid.
• If not YMCA certified, must obtain Oxygen Administration (O2) within 30 days of hire.
• Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and able to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, developing and evaluating aquatic activities.
• Include pre-season opening responsibilities and post-season closing responsibilities.
• Support safety and supervision at the pool to protect members.
